    • Non-competitive cultural performances - by Guest Artistes (35 minutes).
  • 2:00 P.M To 3:30 P.M.
    • Lunch Break
  • 3:30 P.M To 8:30 P.M.
    • Marriage and other rituals / traditional festivals and rituals / dance competition on harvesting and agriculture / other traditional trades - Rajasthan, Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh And Chhattisgarh (Time for each troupe 25 minutes).
    • Non-competitive cultural performances - by Guest Artistes (25 minutes).

    • Non-competitive cultural performances - by Guest Artistes (15 minutes).

    • Lunch Break.
  • 3:30 P.M To 8:30 P.M.
    • Marriage and other rituals / traditional festivals and rituals / dance competition on harvesting and agriculture / other traditional trades - Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Sikkim, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh (Time for each troupe 25 minutes).
    • Non-competitive cultural performances - by Guest Artistes (35 minutes).

    • Non-competitive cultural performances - by Guest Artistes (30 minutes).
  • 6:30 P.M To 8:30 P.M.
    • Closing Ceremony, Award Distribution / Honors

    National Tribal Dance Festival Raipur C.G
    From 27th to 29th December 2019
    Proposed Rules

    Rules In Hindi

    • The participants in the dance festival must be from the scheduled tribe category. It will be the duty of the sponsoring states to ensure this.
    • The maximum numbers of members in a single dance group will be 25. This will include the dancing members (male and female) and also instrument players.
    • The duration of the performance will be 15 minutes per category. Additional 5 minute’s time will be given for preparation
    • Dance groups from a State will be allowed to perform in any two of the dance categories.
    • A written brief of the dance form and literature for narration will have to be submitted online at the time of registration of the groups.
    • The performances will have to be made on the assigned date and time slot given for the States.
    • Dance performances must be accompanied with traditional instruments only.
    • Recorded tracks will not be allowed in the performances.
    • The group members will have to clear the stage of all props and equipments, musical instruments etc. immediately after the performance.
    • The evaluation of the performances will be done by a designated jury.
    • Points will be assigned on the following basis –
      • Traditional rituals and musical instruments – 40
      • Synchronization and coordination – 20
      • Costumes – 20
      • Discipline and Overall presentation – 20
      Total : 100
    • Based on the points scored first, second, third and consolation prizes will be awarded to the teams from each category.
    • First prize will be of 5 lacs, 2nd prize will be of 3 lacs, 3rd prize will be 2 lacs and consolation prize will be 0.25 lacs, for each category of dance form.
    • Decision of the jury will be final and binding.

    How to reach Raipur from different parts of the country

    Good news for art and dance lovers. National Tribal Dance Festival is going to be held in the Capital City of Chhattisgarh, Raipur from 27 to 29 December 2019. Tribal dance groups from all the states and union territories of the country and some neighboring countries will be participating in this festival.

    Chhattisgarh is a beautiful state located in the central part of the India. It is easily approachable by train, air and by road from almost all parts of the country. Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur has direct connectivity with almost all the major cities of the country. Railway station Raipur (South Eastern Central Railway) is on Mumbai Howrah route and is well connected by Train services. National Highway No. 6 passes through Raipur. Nagpur is approx. 300 km. and Kolkata is approx. 940 km. from here. Hence Raipur is well connected by road also.
